I posted an employment opportunity on craigslist last friday and the results were as expected. I received several great resumes and portfolios from many people here in Chicago. The irritating side of the craigslist posting was that for every quality candidate that corresponded to me, I received 10 offers from offshore development companies. I do not have any issue with this other than the fact that I stated in several areas of the listing that I do not want offers from any development companies and this is for local employment only. Now I deal with about 20 emails a day from offshore development companies. This is just as irritating as when I post something for sale and I get people that want to use escrow services or fake postal money orders. These issues are out of the control of craigslist and would be faced by any website of this nature.
