It is 5:45am and I just got back from the casino. Very scary start! Every single one of my good hands got cracked. Nut flush, dealer pairs the board for the full house. Set of fives, player has a set of kings. Pocket aces, two kings on the flop. (more…)

A few weeks back I was upset with poker because of some tournaments I took place in. I played for 6 to 12 hours in those tournaments and each time I knocked out either one place or a few places short of the prize spots. After playing that long and not winning something, I got annoyed and have not been back to play since.
Well tonight is my return to the cash game table. Tonights choice: 2 / 5 NL Holdem. Tonights buy in: $500. It is exactly 11pm and I am heading out to the casino. I will post my results when i return.

This is what the professional critics say:
“Fast, cheap, and in you’re control the Panasonic PV-GS19 is the best under-$300 (street price) camcorder we’ve seen this year. With an amazing manual control set and video performance nearly identical to its older sibling, the PV-GS35, this is a big winner for the budget-minded consumer.”
This review is two years overdue but I figure its better late than never. I see this camcorder on ebay and craigslist all the time. Many people wonder, “is it really worth the value?”. This camcorder is very affordable and a great entry level camcorder but thats about all it is. I actually did not unbox this for exactly one year from purchase. I bought it for Sylvia for Christmas two years ago and we did not use it until the following Christmas. The low light performance is comparable to a cell phone camera. The battery holds a long charge and audio recording is fair at best. I am pretty unhappy about this camcorder. Low light performance is so important because unless you are out doors, lighting is always going to be an issue. Below is a sample of a video recorded with the PV-GS19

I posted an employment opportunity on craigslist last friday and the results were as expected. I received several great resumes and portfolios from many people here in Chicago. The irritating side of the craigslist posting was that for every quality candidate that corresponded to me, I received 10 offers from offshore development companies. (more…)
